The Maruti Suzuki Brezza, one of the company’s best-selling SUVs, is getting a major update this month. The facelift will go on sale on July 24, 2026. It will bring design changes, new features, and even a new engine option to the SUV. Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming Brezza facelift.

Maruti Suzuki will revise the variant naming system on the facelift. Instead of the LXi, VXi, and ZXi trims available on the pre-facelift model, the updated Brezza will be offered in six variants named L, L(O), V, Z, Z(O), and Z+. This aligns with Suzuki’s global variant naming direction.

The dimensions are likely to remain largely unchanged. The facelift will retain the previous model’s stance but have a stronger road presence. It will also come with notable design updates.

The front fascia will have a new grille section, square-shaped projector LED headlamps, slightly redesigned LED DRLs, new front bumper with bold Silver-coloured inserts and a skid plate, and more. The grille will have a Chrome ornament. This will be finished in Golden Chrome on the top-spec variant. Even the bonnet will have slight design improvements to match the updated front styling. The facelift will look fresh from the front.

The overall silhouette will be retained on the facelifted model. It will, however, have a new set of alloy wheels and refreshed body cladding. The door handles will be body-coloured and there will be roof rails as well.

The rear end will only have subtle changes. The design at large, will stay close to the outgoing model. However, details like the internals of the LED tail lamps and rear bumper could be revised. Maruti Suzuki seems to have taken a balanced approach with the redesign of the new Brezza. This SUV already has a well-accepted design. The carmaker hasn’t given it a radical redesign, but has instead gone for tasteful enhancements.

The official teaser released by Maruti Suzuki shows a sportier version of the Brezza. It has a more aggressive styling- Black body colour, Blacked-out parts and contrasting Red accents. This, we suppose, will be sold as a separate sporty edition.

It is unclear as to what the carmaker would call this edition. ‘RS’ remains a possibility as Maruti Suzuki already has a history of selling the Baleno RS in India.

The interior design will largely resemble that of the pre-facelift model. Leaked images have confirmed that the cabin will get a new colour scheme and better upholstery. More importantly, the feature list will be revised. The facelift will see the addition of features like ventilated seats, 64-colour ambient lighting (with strips running along the door pads), air purifier, and a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The pre-facelift model used to come with a smaller 9-inch screen.

Features like single-pane sunroof, auto-dimming IRVM, tilt & telescopic adjustable steering wheel, automatic climate control, and more will be retained. The instrument cluster will continue to be an analog-digital combination unit. Overall, the cabin experience will see major improvements.

The new Brezza will come with three powertrain options- 1.5L naturally aspirated (K15C) petrol, 1.0L turbocharged petrol, and CNG. The newly-added turbo-petrol will make 110PS and 170Nm on the Brezza and will come with a six-speed manual transmission alone. This engine will be reserved for the top trims and will have an ARAI fuel efficiency of 20.82 kmpl.

The 1.5L petrol engine will offer the choice of both manual and automatic gearboxes. It will make 103PS and 139Nm.

The CNG powertrain will be retained on the new model as well. It will, however, see the addition of an underbody CNG tank. This will free up usable boot space and improve practicality. The CNG version will have an ARAI mileage of 26.55 km/kg.
