Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering a potential goalkeeper exchange with Napoli, as Italian reports suggest a deal could involve Guglielmo Vicario moving to Serie A and Vanja Milinkovic-Savic heading to north London. Both clubs are said to be reviewing their goalkeeping options ahead of the upcoming season.

Allegri’s appointment prompts changes at Napoli

The situation at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona is evolving quickly following Antonio Conte’s exit and the appointment of Massimiliano Allegri as the new coach. Allegri has begun assessing the goalkeeping department, a move that could significantly impact the current squad. Under his management, Napoli’s goalkeeping hierarchy is expected to shift tactically, with Alex Meret possibly reclaiming a place as the first-choice keeper.

This strategic adjustment has cast uncertainty over Vanja Milinkovic-Savic’s future. The Serbian goalkeeper, who joined the club just a year ago for around €22 million, now faces the prospect of being sidelined from the club’s long-term plans.

Vicario emerges as Napoli’s main target

According to Rai, discussions have surfaced over a potential direct swap deal between Napoli and Tottenham. Napoli are reportedly eager to sign Vicario, who has been linked with a move away from north London for several months. Since joining Tottenham, Vicario has made 117 appearances across all competitions, keeping 29 clean sheets while conceding 170 goals. The Italian shot-stopper has been a crucial part of the squad, notably featuring regularly in the club’s Europa League victory last season.
