Actress Yami Gautam shared an emotional response after winning the Best Actress award at the 72nd National Film Awards for her performance in ' Article 370 '. The actress reacted to filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma 's congratulatory message by reflecting on the experiences that have shaped her career over the years.

A career built step by step

Yami Gautam began her acting career on television before making the transition to Hindi cinema. Her breakthrough came with 'Vicky Donor' in 2012 which was a performance that introduced her to a wider audience and marked the beginning of a successful film career.

Over the years, she has steadily built a diverse filmography by taking on a variety of roles across different genres. Her performances in 'Kaabil', 'URI: The Surgical Strike', 'Bala', 'A Thursday', 'Dasvi', 'Article 370', and more have earned appreciation from audiences as well as critics.

Along with Best Actress for Yami Gautam, the film also won Best Feature Film and Best Music, making it one of the most celebrated films of this year's awards.
