Knews Desk- Protests by students regarding alleged paper leak and examination arrangements in NEET exam are continuing. Now politics has also intensified on this issue. Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi has targeted the Central Government while supporting the student movement. He said that it is wrong to take any kind of strictness with the students who are protesting for their demands and their problems should be heard seriously.
‘Beating students is wrong, their demands are legitimate’
Rahul Gandhi, while supporting the students protesting at Jantar Mantar, said that instead of suppressing the voice of the students, the government should find a solution to their problems. He alleged that due to the continuous irregularities in the examination system, the confidence of lakhs of youth is being affected.
He said that students are worried about their future and it is not right to ignore their demands. The government should communicate with the students and solve their problems.
Priyanka Gandhi has also raised questions on the action
Earlier, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra had also attacked the Central Government regarding the student protest. He had said that today the voices of the same students with whose support the government came to power are being suppressed.
Priyanka Gandhi, while raising questions regarding the action against the protesters, had said that there is a need to listen to the problems of the students and not to impose strictness on them.
Rahul’s target on education system and examination system
Rahul Gandhi also cornered the central government regarding the education system. He said that competitive examinations are the basis of the future of millions of students, but due to the irregularities coming to light again and again, the confidence of the youth is being broken.
He alleged that there is a need to reform the country’s examination system and the government should ensure that hard-working students are not treated unfairly.
‘Opportunities for youth are continuously decreasing’
Rahul Gandhi said that the youth of the country are struggling for employment and a better future. According to him, today a large number of students want to fulfill their dreams through studies and competitive examinations, but due to flaws in the system they are facing problems.
He said that it is the responsibility of the government to assure the youth that they will get the right value for their hard work.
Demand to fix responsibility from the government
The Congress leader demanded reforms in the education and examination system from the central government. He said that the government should fix accountability on issues to the future of students and make such a system so that examination disputes do not arise again.
