First good news: Financial support will be available under Women Employment Scheme

The government's Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana is providing financial assistance to women to start their own employment. Under the scheme, eligible families are being given an assistance of Rs 10,000 in the initial phase, so that they can start small business or self-employment. After this, if the woman takes her work forward successfully, then additional financial assistance of up to Rs 2 lakh is also being provided for the expansion of the business.

Second good news: Now women of cities will also get the benefit of the scheme

Till now this scheme was mainly implemented in rural areas, but seeing its success, the government has decided to extend it to urban areas. After this decision, women living in cities will also be able to take advantage of the scheme to start self-employment and small enterprises. This will promote women entrepreneurship and is likely to create a large number of new employment opportunities.

Third good news: Strong network will increase to connect women with employment

2,446 new personnel have been appointed to effectively deliver the benefits of the schemes to women. Their responsibility will be to provide information about government schemes to women, connect them with self-employment and help in providing new livelihood opportunities. This step can play an important role in strengthening self-help groups and women entrepreneurs, especially in rural areas.
