An important hearing was held in the Delhi High Court on Tuesday amid the ongoing controversy regarding the health of social activist Sonam Wangchuk. The Central Government gave such a statement in the court, which gave a new turn to the whole matter. Now everyone’s eyes are fixed on the final order of the High Court.

During the hearing, both the sides presented their respective arguments in the court. Central government has no objection to changing the hospital

During the hearing in Delhi High Court, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, on behalf of the Central Government, said that the government has no objection if Sonam Wangchuk is taken from Safdarjung Hospital to Medanta Hospital.

However, he also clarified that the decision to discharge from the hospital should be based on the medical advice of Medanta doctors and not as per the individual wishes of the patient.

Sonam Wangchuk’s wife’s petition is being heard

This case is being heard in the Delhi High Court on a petition filed by Sonam Wangchuk’s wife Gitanjali. During the hearing, Wangchuk’s doctor was also present in the court and the health aspect was presented. After hearing the arguments of all the parties, the High Court said that it will give its order in this case at 2:30 pm.

Hospitalized after hunger strike

Sonam Wangchuk was sitting on hunger strike at Jantar Mantar. During the fast, his health continued to deteriorate, after which he was admitted to Safdarjung Hospital on the 21st day. Constant concern is being expressed about his health and a hearing is also going on in the court regarding this.

Sonam Wangchuk announces to continue the fast

Even after being admitted to the hospital, Sonam Wangchuk has refused to end her fast. He said through a written message that he will continue his fast until the youth leaders are allowed to meet the MPs in the Parliament House (Sonam Wangchuk) or they are not given the opportunity to meet the MPs in the hospital itself.
