Panshul Bansal NEET AIR 2: NEET UG 2026 paper leak controversy affected the preparation and mental state of lakhs of students. After the cancellation of the exams, protests started across the country, but during this time, Delhi student Panshul Bansal chose a different path. Instead of joining the protest, he focused his attention on his studies and as a result, he secured All India Rank (AIR) 2 in the re-exam. By scoring 715 marks with 99.9999 percentile, Panshul proved that even in difficult circumstances, right thinking and continuous hard work can lead to great success.

First there was disappointment, then the perspective changed

Speaking to NDTV, Panshul said that when the first NEET exam was cancelled, he felt quite disappointed for some time. He felt that he had given a good paper and his chances of getting admission in a government medical college were strong. However, after a few hours he collected himself and started looking at the entire situation from a new perspective. According to him, he decided that it is better to take full advantage of the opportunity he gets again rather than wasting time in negative thinking. This thinking again led him towards preparation.

Priority given to preparation instead of performance

After the paper leak, student protests continued in many parts of the country. On the question why he did not participate in those demonstrations, Panshul clearly said that he considered it better to spend his time in studies. He said that if he had given time to protest, his studies would have suffered. So he stayed at home and worked on his weaknesses and tried to make himself better than before. He believed that proper use of extra time would be the biggest answer.

Didn't change routine, just increased hard work

Panshul told that while preparing for the re-exam, he did not change his method of studies. He continued the same routine he was following earlier. The only difference was that he decided to give his hundred percent in the next one and a half month and leave the rest of the results to God. He also told that in the first exam he had scored around 706 marks, whereas in the re-exam he increased it to 715 marks.

CJP refused to comment on the demonstrations

According to a report by ND TV, when he was asked for his opinion on the ongoing protests by CJP and students across the country, he refused to comment on the issue. He clearly said that he does not want to say anything on this subject.

Panshul Bansal's story is an inspiration for those students who do not deviate from their goals even in difficult circumstances.
