Indian Women Cricketers In The Hundred 2026: The seventh season of England’s popular franchise cricket league The Hundred will begin at The Oval from Tuesday. Both men’s and women’s tournaments will start simultaneously. Indian players can only participate in the women’s competition and after the T20 World Cup, many star players of India will once again be seen in enthusiasm on the soil of England.
Mandhana will play for Manchester Super Giants
India’s star opener Smriti Mandhana will play for Manchester Super Giants this time. This will be her fifth The Hundred season, but this is her first time being a part of this franchise. Before this, she had played for Southern Brave from 2021 to 2024 and played an important role in making the team champion in 2023. This time Mandhana will play under the leadership of Australia’s legendary captain Meg Lanning. Manchester Super Giants have never been able to make it to the top-4 of the tournament till now.
Richa Ghosh will also be a part of Super Giants
Indian wicketkeeper batsman Richa Ghosh will also play for Manchester Super Giants this season. Like in the Women’s Premier League (WPL), here too she will be Smriti Mandhana’s teammate. This will be Richa’s third consecutive different franchise in The Hundred. Before this she had been a part of London Spirit and Birmingham Phoenix. Although her performance in the last two seasons was not as expected, she batted well in the recent T20 World Cup and now she will try to make a strong comeback in this tournament.
Jemimah Rodrigues’ entry in Southern Brave
Indian batsman Jemimah Rodrigues will play for Southern Brave this time. She was earlier a part of Sunrisers Leeds. Like Delhi Capitals, here too he will meet captain Laura Wolvaardt and head coach Jonathan Batty. Jemima’s first season of The Hundred was excellent, but after that she could not maintain the same momentum. This time she will again come out with the intention of playing big innings.
Deepti Sharma will again show all-round amazingness
India’s star all-rounder Deepti Sharma will be a part of the Sunrisers team this time. In 2024, he won the title for London Spirit by hitting the winning six on the last ball and performed brilliantly with both bat and ball.
Last season, Deepti had scored 212 runs and also taken eight wickets. This time she will handle the spin department along with Jess Jonason and the team will be captained by Danny Gibson.
All eyes will be on Indian players
After India’s disappointing performance in the T20 World Cup, Smriti Mandhana, Richa Ghosh, Jemimah Rodrigues and Deepti Sharma will now have a golden opportunity to return to their form by performing brilliantly in The Hundred 2026. Cricket fans around the world will keep an eye on the performance of Indian players in this high-profile league of England.
