Actress Aanchal Singh embarked on a new chapter in her life, tying the knot with investor Mohit Chawla after being together for nearly three years. "We both knew we would ultimately land up here," she tells Bombay Times as she talks about her wedding for the first time.
For Aanchal, marriage wasn't a surprise but a natural progression of their relationship. "I am very excited, but a part of me is also just calm because I knew it coming. It's not like it's just suddenly happened. We're both such private people," she says.

Aanchal posted a picture of the wedding festivities from a Gurudwara, and many initially assumed it was a promotional campaign. "So many people asked me, 'Are you promoting a song? A film? Is it a big hero?' I said, 'No.' Many thought it was a PR stunt" she recalls.

Despite staying composed through most of the wedding day, Aanchal says emotions took over the moment the baraat arrived. "Till the time I didn't hear the baraat, I was very calm. I was eating, chatting with my hair and makeup team, my cousins were visiting my room... I was just chilling. But I remember I left my room and heard the baraat. My heart started beating so fast. I was like, 'Oh, that moment has come'," she recalls.

Seeing Mohit waiting for her remains the most unforgettable memory of the wedding, which was a 10-day affair from June 21st till 30th.

"By the time I was standing there and I saw Mohit, I just had tears in my eyes. I said, 'I cannot believe this.' Suddenly everything is in high speed. You're looking at the person and recollecting the journey you've had together and what is to come. I just felt so much gratitude. I am going to remember that feeling for the rest of my life," she says.

The newlyweds are now looking forward to a European honeymoon. "We're planning to go to Europe. I can't wait to just sit at a café, have coffee and not talk about anything," she signs off.
