US News: A mother in Oklahoma, USA, could be sentenced to life imprisonment because she failed to stop her husband from raping and impregnating her 11-year-old daughter. According to prosecutors, Cheri Walker, 34, knew that her husband Dustin Walker was sexually abusing their daughter at their Muskogee home, but she failed to protect him. The 11-year-old girl gave birth to a child at the couple’s home in August 2026. The court was told that she did not receive any medical care or help before or at the time of the child’s birth. Shortly after giving birth to her stepfather’s child, the girl went to a local hospital. Then the police arrested Cherry and 35-year-old Dustin Walker and charged them with negligence. According to KJRH report, DNA testing later revealed that Dustin was the father of the child with ’99 percent certainty’.
The verdict followed four days of lengthy and difficult testimony from police, first responders, medical professionals, Department of Human Services employees, church members and other family members. The jury recommended a life sentence for each charge. The judge will formally sentence Walker at a later date.
