Anna Hazare writes letter to PM Modi: Veteran social activist Anna Hazare, who brought a big revolution in the country against corruption, has once again shown the mirror to the power in Delhi. Amid the ongoing student agitations in various parts of the country over exam rigging and paper leaks, Anna Hazare has written an emotional letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In this letter, he has not only expressed his condolences towards the students, but has also taught the government the lesson of accountability and democracy.

Anna Hazare has said a very important thing in his letter. He told the Prime Minister that demanding resignation of a minister due to administrative failures does not weaken the government. On the contrary, such a move shows that the government is serious about the performance of its departments and holds ministers accountable. According to Anna, if someone fails to fulfill his responsibility and has to step down, it sends a clear message to the public that the government is effective and accountable.

Deep pain over violence against students

Anna Hazare has expressed deep sorrow over the news of police action and violence during the ongoing protests in Delhi. He termed these incidents as extremely distressing. Anna stressed that the best way to resolve any difference in a democracy is not confrontation but dialogue. He appealed to the Prime Minister to open the way for talks with the protesting students.

Anna Hazare reminded in the letter that crores of youth across the country are today worried about problems like paper leak, delay in recruitment and unemployment. He said that the government should not consider these concerns of the students as just a matter of law and order, but should accept them as genuine public grievances and give a meaningful response.

NEET rigging and the question of accountability

Specifically mentioning the NEET exam in 2024, Anna Hazare said allegations of question paper leak and other irregularities have come to the fore. The future of about 22 lakh students is at stake. Citing media reports, he expressed condolences to those students who took suicidal steps due to exam problems and frustration. Anna raised the question that often in scams only lower level officials are caught, while decision makers at higher positions go unpunished. He demanded that the ultimate responsibility should lie with the people holding top positions of governance and administration.

Appeal to Gandhian values ​​and dialogue

Anna Hazare also expressed concern that for more than three weeks, students and parents have been protesting peacefully and demanding the resignation of the Education Minister, but no serious efforts are visible from the government’s side. He also expressed dissatisfaction over activist Sonam Wangchuk being removed from the protest site without any conversation.

At the end of her letter, Anna urged the Prime Minister to view the protesters not as political rivals, but as concerned citizens. He appealed to the government to listen to them patiently, build trust and resolve the dispute through constructive dialogue in accordance with Gandhian principles and democratic values.
