Kangra: The government of Himachal Pradesh has taken a significant step forward in the Gaggal Airport expansion initiative by commencing the distribution of relief and rehabilitation award notices to the residents impacted in Gaggal village. This process kicked off today at the Gram Panchayat Gaggal office.
According to Project Coordinator Ranjit Thakur, the distribution will occur in stages. Initially, notices are being issued to individuals whose land has been specifically acquired for the project. Following this, the procedure for families that have been displaced will proceed in accordance with established regulations.
Thakur mentioned that a total of 460 award notices have been prepared for cases involving land acquisition only, with the distribution starting today. The awards will be distributed over the next five days to ensure that all affected parties receive their notifications.
The expansion of Kangra Airport has already included compensation for both land and structures, and this recent action signifies a step forward in offering relief and rehabilitation to families impacted by the project.
