The position of the rupee against the dollar and the softening of crude oil are giving direction to the market. Due to these reasons, a jump has been recorded in the futures and spot prices of gold and silver.

On Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the futures price of 24 carat gold opened with a rise of 1.07 percent i.e. Rs 1512. After this surge, gold has now reached the level of Rs 1,42,900 per 10 grams. It had closed at Rs 1,41,388 on the last trading day. The price of spot gold in the international market has increased to $ 4,124.00 per ounce.

Like gold, a rising trend in the prices of silver has also been seen in the market. Silver futures on MCX opened today with an increase of 0.01 percent i.e. Rs 21. With this the price of silver has reached Rs 2,23,800 per kg. Silver remains strong at $ 60.14 an ounce in the international spot market.

There is a huge movement in the price of 24 carat gold in many cities of India today. In the capital Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad and Lucknow, the price of 10 grams of gold is Rs 1,44,370. Its price in the bullion market of Mumbai and Kolkata is Rs 1,44,220 per 10 grams. The price of gold in Chennai is Rs 1,43,470 and in Patna it is Rs 1,44,270 per 10 grams.
Opinion of market experts
According to experts, gold has received support from the reduced tension between America and Iran. HDFC Securities senior analyst Saumil Gandhi said that the fall in crude oil has strengthened the bullion market. Gaurav Garg of Lemon Markets also believes that energy costs have come down due to reduction in tension. Strong spot demand from China is also providing support.
