The upward trend in gold prices across the country continued on Thursday, July 23. In the capital, Delhi, the price of 24-carat gold rose to ₹1,46,570 per 10 grams. In Mumbai, the rate reached ₹1,46,520 per 10 grams. Gold has become more expensive in other cities as well. A day earlier, the price of 99.9% pure gold in Delhi's bullion market had surged by ₹1,900 to reach ₹1,49,600 per 10 grams—a two-week high.
The rise in gold prices is driven by strong spot demand and increased buying at lower price points following a decline last week. According to Reuters, spot gold in the international market stands at $4,133.39 per ounce, while US gold futures for August delivery are at $4,136.8 per ounce.
