Regarding this, Vaibhav said in an interview given to BCCI TV, "In the last four months, I have seen a lot of ups and downs. All this is a part of cricket and it will continue like this. But I have to focus on my game and give my 100% for the team. The coach is guiding me in every way. I am also getting the necessary training. I am very confident now."

When Vaibhav was dropped from the playing XI of the last match against England, he was quite disappointed. It is not easy to bear such shocks at such a young age. But he made it clear that the support he received from people around him helped him move forward and focus on his game. Vaibhav was an important part of the Indian team that won the Under-19 World Cup in February last year.
He played a stormy inning of 175 runs in just 80 balls in the final match against England on the same ground in Harare. Talking about his association with the ground, he said, "I have a lot of memories with this ground. Just four months ago, we played the U-19 World Cup final here and won the trophy. So it's a very special ground. It's everyone's dream to play for India, it's a special moment. I'm really enjoying it."
He expressed confidence and said, "While playing the Under-19 World Cup, I got a good idea of the pitches and conditions here. Therefore, I will now use the experience gained from that tournament and try to play better in these matches. I have full confidence in my practice and my game."

The three-match T20 series between India and Zimbabwe will start from July 23. All three matches will be played at the Harare Cricket Club ground only.
