Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta reacted on her official social media handle amid the ongoing CJP agitation at Jantar Mantar. He said that the Central Government is committed to safeguarding the interests of the students and the future of the youth. The Chief Minister wrote in his post, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, protecting the interests of students and securing the bright future of the youth is our top priority.”

What did Chief Minister Rekha Gupta say on the paper leak?

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said in her social media post that the government is adopting a strict stance on matters like paper leaks. He wrote, “This decision to set up fast track courts in paper leak cases and take strict action against the culprits is an important step towards ensuring justice to every hardworking student.” He further said, “The law will take full action against those who attack the rights of students and their hard work.”

Since June 20, students under the leadership of Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) have been agitating in Delhi demanding a fair investigation into the NEET paper leak case and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The movement started from Jantar Mantar and with time students and youth from all over the country started joining it. The situation became tense during the Parliament march taken out on 20 July. During the demonstration, incidents of violence and clashes were reported, in which many students and security force personnel were injured. After this, the controversy deepened regarding police action, lathi charge and security arrangements. The protesters were continuously demanding a response from Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on this issue. He questioned the silence of the Chief Minister during the agitation and alleged that the Delhi government did not take any clear stand on the police action against the students.

PM Modi’s big announcement on paper leak

Amidst the ongoing protests over the NEET paper leak issue, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured the students that the culprits of the paper leak will not be spared at any cost. He announced that fast-track courts will be constituted for speedy trial of such cases and strict punishment to the culprits.

The Prime Minister said that strict legal action will be ensured against those involved in the paper leak, so that those who are playing with the future of students are given strict punishment. Only after this announcement of the Prime Minister, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta gave a public reaction for the first time and said that protecting the interests of students and securing their future is the top priority of the government.
