Jalandhar- During a meeting in this regard today, Deputy Commissioner Varjit Walia fixed the responsibilities of the officers to conduct the Independence Day celebrations smoothly and properly. While presiding over the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner said that during the celebrations, a spectacular march past, mass PT show of students and cultural program based on the spirit of patriotism will be presented. He said that during the ceremony, apart from successful officers/employees of different departments, personalities who have achieved special success in different fields will also be honoured.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the police department to make proper security arrangements, proper parking, other traffic arrangements and other necessary arrangements. He also directed the concerned officers to make all the necessary arrangements on time like cleanliness of the venue and squares, decoration, seating arrangement, drinking water, easy entry, uninterrupted power supply, deployment of fire brigade, necessary medical teams etc.
