The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert for several states, including Rajasthan, today. The department has issued a rain alert for Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand.  

Monsoon has once again become fully active in Rajasthan. The Meteorological Department has predicted that rain will continue in most parts of Rajasthan for the next 4 to 5 days. The department has issued an alert for heavy to very heavy rain at some places in south-eastern Rajasthan. The department has issued orange and yellow alerts for 40 districts between today and July 27. During this period, there is a possibility of thunder, lightning and strong winds at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour.

Jaipur Meteorological Centre has issued an alert for extremely heavy rain in Banswara and Jhalawar. Meanwhile, a warning of extremely heavy rain has been issued for Baran, Bhilwara, Bundi, Chittorgarh, Dungarpur, Kota, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand, Salumbar and Udaipur. The department has issued an alert for heavy rain in the capital Jaipur as well as Ajmer, Beawar, Karauli, Kotputli-Bahror, Sawai Madhopur, Sirohi, Tonk, Jalore, Jodhpur, Nagaur and Pali.

Chhipabarod recorded the highest rainfall of 139 mm.
In the last 24 hours, heavy rains affected the general public at many places in Baran, Bundi, Dausa, Jhalawar, Kota, Pali, Rajsamand and Tonk districts of the state. Chhipabarod in Baran district recorded the highest rainfall of 139 mm.
