Abhinav Mukund Selects Team India Squad For 2027 ODI WC: Amidst the discussions regarding India’s preparations for the 2027 ODI World Cup, former Indian opener Abhinav Mukund has selected his favorite 15-member team. Mukund’s team has started a new debate amidst the 2-1 ODI series defeat against England, questions being raised on the captaincy of Shubman Gill and ongoing speculations about the future of Rohit Sharma.

Abhinav Mukund said that he has chosen his team giving priority to experience and balance. He retained Rohit Sharma in the team, while also getting Hardik Pandya back. On the other hand, many young players did not get a place.

Expressed confidence in Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya

Mukund has chosen Shubman Gill as the captain, while Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have been given place in the top order. He believes that the role of experienced players is very important in big tournaments. By including Hardik Pandya as an all-rounder, he has tried to give additional balance to the team.

Kuldeep Yadav also got a place

Kuldeep Yadav, who was recently ruled out of the entire ODI series against England, has been selected by Mukund as the only specialist spinner in his team. Former players like Ravichandran Ashwin and Hanuma Vihari have also criticized Kuldeep for not being given a chance in Lord’s ODI.

Many famous names remained out of Mukund’s team. He did not include players like Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Abhishek Sharma, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Tilak Verma, Rinku Singh and Arshdeep Singh in his World Cup team.
