Vaibhav Suryavanshi created history with this innings. At the age of 15 years and 118 days, he made the record of becoming the youngest player in the world to score a half-century in T20 International.

Earlier, this record among full member countries was in the name of Rahmanullah Gurbaz of Afghanistan, who scored a T20 International half-century at the age of 17 years and 296 days. With this achievement Vaibhav set a new record in terms of both age and speed.
