Long-running TV show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is set to take a two-year leap, bringing with it a fresh storyline and several new faces. After Shagufta Ali , Aaditya Gupta and Aadesh Chaudhry were reported to have joined the cast, we have now learnt that Aastha Chaudhary has also come on board. Joining her is Kuldeep Singh , who was previously seen in Anupamaa.

Aastha will portray the mother of Aaditya Gupta’s character, while Kuldeep will essay his onscreen father. Aaditya is set to play the male lead opposite Maira, portrayed by Arshiya Sharma. Aadesh, meanwhile, will be seen as Aastha’s elder brother-in-law.

A source associated with the show shares, “The post-leap story will introduce an entirely new family, and all these actors will be part of that setup. Aaditya’s character enters opposite Maira, and their equation will be central to the upcoming track. Aastha plays a warm, affectionate and doting mother who holds the family together, while Kuldeep’s character brings a different dynamic to the household. The makers are hoping this new family will add emotional depth and fresh relationships to the narrative, giving the audience a new journey to invest in after the leap.”

Aastha, who has been part of popular TV shows such as Babul Ka Aangann Chhotey Na, Aise Karo Naa Vidaa, Ek Veer Ki Ardaas... Veera and Kesari Nandan, and was last seen in Mera Balam Thanedaar and Mehndi Wala Ghar, remained unavailable for comment.
