India's teenage batting prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi achieved another fantastic feat in his already astonishing career by becoming the youngest to reach 50 in T20 International cricket.
The 15-year-old achieved this feat in the first T20I against Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club. Coming out to bat, Sooryavanshi went hammer and tongs to score a quickfire fifty off 19 balls before getting dismissed for a quickfire 50. He scored 4 boundaries and 4 sixes to get India off to a flyer.
With this knock, the young opening batter broke a record that had been prevailing for the last several years and also established a new record for all the Full Member nations.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's Historic Record
Sooryavanshi (15 years 118 days) becomes the youngest T20I half-centurion.

The previous record holder in ICC Full Member countries was Rahmanullah Gurbaz at 17 years 296 days when he scored his first T20I fifty versus Zimbabwe in 2019.

India Close in on Comfortable Victory
Zimbabwe were in trouble after being set 125/7 in the 20 overs. Wessly Madhevere scored the highest with 39 while Tadiwanashe Marumani scored a not out 27.
India's bowlers took a share of the wickets, with Mayank Yadav and Prince Yadav taking two each while Shivam Dube and Ravi Bishnoi also got in.
In reply, Sooryavanshi's power-packed innings completely shifted the momentum in favour of India. When he got out, Ishan Kishan and captain Shreyas Iyer took over the helm and took India to 72/2 in 6.3 overs, with 54 runs needed from 81 balls.
Sooryavanshi shone with another record-breaking innings. Yet another feather in the cap for the youngster who has been proving the world right for all the hype surrounding him.
