Vaibhav Suryavanshi created history in 18 balls, broke Sachin’s 37 year old record

Vaibhav Suryavanshi made his debut in T20 International cricket on 4th July. Since then he was waiting for his first international half-century. This wait continued for three matches but on 23 July he finally achieved this milestone. In the first T20 match between India and Zimbabwe, Vaibhav hit a brilliant fifty in just 18 balls. With this explosive inning, he also broke Sachin Tendulkar’s 37-year-old record.

 

Vaibhav Suryavanshi has so far scored 92 runs in 4 matches at an explosive strike rate of 209.10. The special thing is that he scored these 92 runs in just 44 balls. During this period, a brilliant half-century also came from his bat.

 

Vaibhav broke Sachin’s record

With this, Vaibhav has become the youngest player to score 50+ in male international cricket. He achieved this historic feat at the age of just 15 years and 118 days. Earlier this record was in the name of Sachin Tendulkar.

If we talk about all the countries, the only two players who have scored 50+ before turning 16 are India’s Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Nepal’s Kushal Malla. Kushal Malla scored a half-century in the ODI match played against America in Kirtipur in 2020 at the age of 15 years and 340 days.
