Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has made a major reshuffle in the responsibilities of 41 officers. The new system aims to make the property tax system more transparent, easier and effective.
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has made a major change in its administrative structure and reshuffled the responsibilities of 41 officers. The corporation says that this change has been made not only to increase tax collection, but with the aim of providing more transparent and simple services to the citizens. The orders issued after the approval of the Corporation Commissioner have come into effect with immediate effect. It is believed that this will speed up the property tax system and administrative work.
41 officers got new responsibility
MCD has issued two separate orders in this regard. In the first order, new responsibilities have been assigned to 6 senior officers. Under the second order, 6 administrative officers have been transferred and 29 officers have got new postings after promotion. In this way, the work area of a total of 41 officers has been changed. The corporation believes that this will establish better coordination between departments and make administrative work more effective.
Property tax system will be made easier
According to MCD, the main objective of the new system is to increase revenue collection as well as to make the processes related to property tax simple and transparent for the common people. Officials have been given the target of bringing more and more properties under the tax net, so that the revenue increases and the tax system can become more organized. The corporation claims that with this, citizens will have to face less trouble in tax related services than before.
Which officer got which responsibility?
Under the new posting, Rakesh Kumar has been given the additional charge of Director (Personnel), Director (O&M), Training and DC Headquarters. H. Kashyap has got the responsibility of Labour, AYUSH and Joint A&C Headquarters-1. Kundan Kumar has been entrusted with the task of expanding the scope of property tax along with Civil Lines Zone. Sahil Grover will hold additional charge of Karol Bagh Zone along with South Zone. Manasvi Chaudhary will look after the responsibility of Keshavpuram zone along with the central zone, while K.K. Burman will oversee the work related to Headquarters-2, disaster management, language and training. The Corporation hopes that these changes will increase administrative efficiency and improve citizen services.
