Beyhadh actor, Kushal Tandon recently landed in controversy after he made remarks about ex-girlfriend Gauahar Khan on Kunal Kemmu-hosted Alliance. Amid the backlash, Kushal Tandon's sister, Tina Tandon , reacted to the controversy and extended her support to him. In an exclusive chat with Times of India TV, Tina addressed the entire incident and praised Gauahar Khan.

Gauahar is a wonderful person, and I've known her for many years. It hurts to see someone as genuine as her being dragged into unnecessary controversy and baseless headlines."

She also spoke warmly about Gauahar Khan and highlighted the positive bond between Kushal and Zaid. "I truly believe she deserves much better. There's no need to create content or make this issue bigger than it is. Instead, people should focus on the positive side. The bond between Kushal and Zaid is coming across beautifully, and that's what everyone should be talking about," she said.

In another conversation with Pinkvilla, Tina stated that the incident was blown out of proportion and people were trying to take TRP from the controversy as it involved Kushal Tandon.

For those unaware, during the show Alliance, Zaid shared an incident with Mini Mathur and Arslan Goni. He revealed that when he asked Kushal for a cigarette and mentioned that the ones he had were "bekar" (not good). Kushal responded to Zaid and said, "Tujhe saali, saare meri cheezin pasand aati hai." (You always like my things).

Many felt the comment was directed at Gauahar Khan, whom Kushal had dated in the past. As soon as the clip surfaced online, netizens began to slam both Kushal and Zaid. Kushal faced backlash after many social media users described his remark as below the belt. They felt the joke was in poor taste.

Gauahar Khan and Kushal Tandon met in Bigg Boss season 7 and started dating in 2013. However, the couple broke up in 2014. Later, Gauahar and Zaid fell in love during lockdown and got married in December 2020. The couple is parents to two sons, Zehaan and Farwaan.
