Share Market Opening Bell 23rd July 2026: There are signs of decline in the Indian stock market today, Thursday, July 23. Where both the major market indices Sensex and Nifty opened in the red. During early trade, BSE Sensex was seen trading at 76,461.30 with a decline of -293.75 points or 0.38 percent. At the same time, NSE Nifty is trading at 23,916.75, down by -79.50 points or 0.33 percent. Out of the top 30 Sensex stocks, 27 stocks are trading in the red. At the same time, only three shares are seeing a slight rise.

Talking about sectoral indices, a decline is being seen in the stocks of midcap, smallcap and largecap. Defense index also remains in the red. Whereas, there was slowdown in power and energy sectors also. The auto sector was also in a bad condition on Thursday and was seen trading down by 22 points. Big decline is being seen in Bankex sector and it is trading with a fall of more than 500 points.
