Gold-Silver Rate Latest Update: If you are planning to buy gold, this is a great opportunity. Today, the price of gold has dropped by ₹1,100 per 10 grams. Prices for 22-carat and 18-carat gold have also decreased.
Gold-Silver Rates Today (July 24): A decline in gold prices is being observed today. Due to rising crude oil prices globally and escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, investors engaged in heavy profit-booking after yesterday's highs, causing prices to fall today.
In the international market, gold had surged past the $4,100 per ounce mark—a two-week high—yesterday; today, it is trading at $4,052.50 per ounce, reflecting a drop of approximately 1-2%.
How much have prices fallen?
In the domestic bullion market, gold prices have slipped by ₹1,100 from yesterday's high of ₹1,47,280 per 10 grams to settle at ₹1,46,170. The price of 22-carat gold has also dropped by ₹1,010 from yesterday's ₹1,35,000 to ₹1,33,990. 18-carat gold has become cheaper by ₹830, standing at ₹1,09,630 per 10 grams today.
Silver's shine remains intact
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), silver for the September contract is trading at ₹2,27,180 per kilogram. This indicates that, even amidst the global crisis, investors are betting on silver, driven by industrial demand. In the domestic retail market, silver prices have reached ₹2,39,900 per kilogram. Silver is used in solar panels, electric vehicles, and 5G chips in addition to jewelry; consequently, due to the rise in demand yesterday, its prices have increased today compared to the previous day.
