Bihar Teacher Recruitment: There is a major update for candidates preparing to become teachers in Bihar. A massive teacher recruitment drive is set to take place in the state. The Bihar government plans to recruit one lakh (100,000) teachers by the year 2030, with a strategy to hire 20,000 teachers annually. As part of this initiative, the state government will soon issue the notification for BPSC TRE 4. **Recruitment of One Lakh Teachers Over 5 Years**
The Bihar government is working on a plan to recruit one lakh teachers over a period of five years. According to media reports, the recruitment of 100,000 teachers is planned for the period between 2026 and 2030. This entire initiative aims to address the shortage of teachers in the state's schools, ranging from the primary to the higher secondary level.

**When Will the BPSC TRE 4 Recruitment Notification Be Released?**
State Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari provided information regarding the BPSC TRE 4 recruitment notification in the Legislative Assembly. He stated that the state government would send a requisition for teacher recruitment to the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) by the end of July. He further mentioned that the shortage of teachers has already been assessed on a district-wise, school-wise, and subject-wise basis.

**Land for Government Schools**
Efforts have also begun to provide land to government schools in Bihar that are currently operating in makeshift or 'kutcha' (non-permanent) buildings. In this regard, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has decided to make land available for such schools. Responding to a question in the Legislative Assembly, Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari stated that 2,276 primary schools and 792 higher secondary schools in the state do not have their own buildings. The state government is working to resolve this issue. 

BPSC TRE 4 Exam from September 22 to 27
The BPSC has previously released a recruitment calendar scheduling the School Teacher Recruitment Exam (TRE-4) for September 22–27, 2026, with the results slated for announcement in November 2026; however, the recruitment notification has not yet been issued.
