The ICC rankings serve as a measure of each player's and team's performance in internationals. In ODIs, batters are awarded rating points on the basis of regularity, quality of opposition and performances in the matches.
The rankings are updated frequently; the more recent performances are weighted higher. After India completed their series win in England in the one-day format, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill all moved up in the latest ICC ODI batting rankings, again showing India's dominance in the one-day format.
Gill, who scored 188 runs in the three-match series, was only one rating point behind the No.1 rated batter Daryl Mitchell. Kohli and Rohit made gains on the rankings following their sterling contributions. Take a look at the highest ICC ODI batting ratings in history among 5 Indian batters.
