Kia Syros EV — Amidst the increasing demand for electric vehicles in the Indian automobile market, Kia India has officially launched its new compact electric SUV Kia Syros EV. Introduced with attractive design, modern technology and long range, this EV has a starting ex-showroom price of ₹ 13.49 lakh, while its top-spectrum ‘X-Line’ variant goes up to ₹ 19.99 lakh. Apart from this, the company has also introduced Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) scheme, under which the starting price of the car starts at ₹7.99 lakh.

Powerful battery, 526 km range and fast charging
The Kia Cirrus EV is launched in the market with two different battery pack options:
- 42 kWh Battery Pack: This model offers 135 PS of power and a claimed ARAI certified range of 443 km on a full charge.
- 51.4 kWh Extended Range (ER): This variant generates a strong power of 171 PS and torque of 255 Nm. Its certified range is up to 526 kilometers. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.1 seconds.
Talking about charging, this SUV supports 100 kW DC fast charging, through which the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 39 minutes. For home charging, it has been provided with a 10.8 kW AC charger.
Luxury interior and 30-inch Trinity display
Kia has made the cabin of this SUV very modern and comfortable. The vehicle has a massive 30-inch Trinity Panoramic Display Panel, which includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 5-inch climate control display.
In terms of safety and convenience, premium features like Level-2 ADAS (16 autonomous features), 360-degree camera, 6 airbags, ventilated and reclining seats, panoramic sunroof, 8-speaker Harman Kardon audio system and dual-camera dashcam have been included in the vehicle.

The Kia Ciros EV has emerged as a premium and affordable option for Indian customers and urban drivers. Those looking to adopt an EV with a low initial budget can buy it through the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model at a starting price of ₹7.99 lakh and a battery rental of ₹3.3 per kilometre.
According to the company, test drives and showroom deliveries of Kia Cirrus EV will start from July 30, 2026 at major dealerships across the country. Competing with vehicles like Tata Curve EV, MG Windsor EV and Mahindra 3XO EV, this car is going to give tough competition in the Indian EV market.
