Reacting to PM Modi’s address on the issue of paper leaks, Dia shared a post on social media and criticised the lack of empathy shown towards affected students and families. In her post, Dia wrote:
"Not one word of empathy for the parents who have lost their children, for the children who have died, for the incredible resilience of students demanding their rights, for Sonamji and the students who were on a hunger strike for weeks. How hard can it be Sir?
Taking a direct swipe at the Prime Minister, she added:
"It took 47 days for you to say something. And now that you have, you have said nothing. Nothing that can heal the millions of hearts that are broken."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi released a video message at midnight on Thursday addressing concerns of students over paper leaks. He said the government would introduce a strict law to prevent examination irregularities and ensure strict punishment for those involved.
The Prime Minister informed that the draft legislation would be discussed in the Cabinet and, after approval, would be presented in Parliament next week. The government will also make efforts to pass the bill at the earliest.
