Mammootty backs Jantar Mantar student protest; urges Government to listen to youth; 'Protect them. Empower them'

Veteran Malayalam actor Mammootty has expressed support for the ongoing student protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. The actor shared a message on social media, urging authorities to pay attention to the concerns raised by young people.
Mammootty shares message in support of studentsTaking to Facebook, Mammootty opened up about the importance of the younger generation and appealed for their voices to be heard. He emphasised that the country's future depends on empowering its youth.
He wrote, "The youth are the true treasure of our nation. Listen to their voices. Protect them. Empower them."
Dulquer Salmaan and other Malayalam actors join the movementMammootty is not the only Malayalam actor to speak about the issue. Earlier, his son Dulquer Salmaan also voiced support for the students participating in the protest.
Kamal Haasan calls for reforms in educationActor-politician Kamal Haasan also shared a detailed statement on the ongoing protest. He criticised the present education system and said students' concerns should have been addressed much earlier.
Kamal wrote, "We should have listened when one child cried. Instead, we waited until far too many of our children died. A system where coaching replaces learning, anxiety replaces curiosity, and criminality replaces merit is rotten. A nation has failed when its children are met with barricades and batons instead of answers."
Kamal Haasan appeals to Sonam WangchukAlong with expressing solidarity with the students, Kamal Haasan also addressed social activist Sonam Wangchuk, who has been observing a fast. He appealed to Wangchuk to end his hunger strike, saying the country would continue to need his guidance in the future.
He added, "@Wangchuk66, the nation will need your conscience for the journey ahead. Please end your fast. To the children of India: You are the best of us. You have done your duty. It is now time for the country to do its duty by you. May your dreams forever be bigger than our failures. @cockroachisback #CJPProtest."
