On Friday, Union Minister JP Nadda announced that the government held a nearly two-hour meeting with representatives from the Cockroach People's Party (CJP). During this session, the group presented three primary demands along with five suggestions aimed at improving the examination system. Following the discussions, Nadda indicated that the government would reconvene with the group on Saturday afternoon to further address the raised issues.

This meeting took place amid rising concerns regarding allegations of NEET-UG paper leaks and the need for reforms in competitive examination processes. JP Nadda and Minister of State in the PMO, Jitendra Singh, represented the government in these discussions. The CJP reiterated its demand for the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, stating that there could be no compromise on this issue. Additionally, the party called for compensation of one crore rupees for each family of students who committed suicide following the cancellation of the NEET exam on May 3.

Two representatives from the CJP articulated their demands during the meeting at the Vitthalbhai Patel House. After the discussions, CJP's national spokesperson, Saurabh Das, informed reporters that they made it clear to the central ministers that there would be no negotiation regarding their demand for Pradhan's resignation. Das also mentioned that the CJP is seeking compensation for the families of the deceased students and the withdrawal of FIRs filed against the protesters. Nadda confirmed that the ministers listened to the CJP's requests and assured that the government would respond to them in due course.
