Veteran actor Vijayashanti has voiced her support for content-driven cinema , urging audiences and the media to back small-budget films with meaningful stories. Speaking at the trailer launch of ' Kamakhya ', the actor expressed confidence in the film's prospects and said that powerful storytelling often matters more than scale. Sharing her thoughts on the film, Vijayashanti recalled that she was impressed by its original title, 'Kamakhya', and associated it with the strength of Goddess Kamakhya .

According to Deccan Chronicle, the actress said, "I loved the title when I first heard it as Kamakhya. It sounded powerful because Goddess Kamakhya herself represents immense strength. I was sure the film would succeed." Referring to the title change, she added, "Though the title has now been changed to Kamakhya due to certain reasons, it still carries the Goddess's name. So, Abhi doesn't have to shave his head, the film is definitely going to be a hit."

Vijayashanti's appeal to support small films The actor stressed that many of the industry's most compelling stories are emerging from smaller productions and encouraged viewers to give such films a chance. She said, "Today, many filmmakers are coming up with excellent subjects. In fact, small films have tremendous strength because they are driven by content."

Highlighting the journey of many actors in the industry, Vijayashanti added, "We all started our careers with small films before reaching this stage. I request the media and audiences to encourage such films and help them succeed."

Vijayashanti's praise for the cast of 'Kamakhya'Vijayashanti also appreciated the performances of the film's cast. She praised lead actor Samaira for her work and commended her command of the Telugu language. She also had words of appreciation for actor Anand, describing him as a talented performer. The actor was last seen in 'Arjun S/o Vyjayanthi'. Before that, she shared screen space with Mahesh Babu in 'Sarileru Neekevvaru' and is currently looking for roles that offer her meaningful and distinctive characters.
