The Delhi Police stated on their official X account that a video is circulating where a person identifies himself as a sub-inspector and claims to have quit his job to participate in ongoing protests. This assertion has been deemed false. A review of police records found no sub-inspector matching the details provided in the video.

The police emphasized that the video is misleading and appears to be an intentional attempt to disseminate false information. They warned that strict legal measures will be taken against those who create, spread, or promote such fake content. Citizens are advised to rely solely on official information released by the Delhi Police and to refrain from sharing unverified claims.

In another clarification, the Delhi Police dismissed claims circulating on social media that a female police officer lost her unborn child during the protests. The department confirmed that she sustained injuries in a stampede-like situation and is currently receiving treatment. However, it was clarified that she is neither married nor pregnant. The official statement reiterated that the claims regarding the officer's condition during the protests are entirely false and misleading. The viral images were taken when the officer was injured in the chaos. It is advised not to share or propagate unverified information and to trust only official updates.
