Narayani Shastri , who was seen in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi as Kesar, recently made a shocking revelation about drug culture in the showbiz industry. According to Narayani, the party culture has evolved over the years. She alleged that parties once had fixed budgets for alcohol, but some now reportedly allocate money for illegal drugs as well.

During an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Narayani said, "Earlier, there would be a budget for alcohol at parties. Now there’s a budget for drugs. I was shocked when I saw this. That’s why I stopped partying many years ago, because now the parties are not about dancing; they are something else completely."

She also alleged in the interview, that such activities are more common at intimate gatherings and are not carried out openly at larger events. She added that "everyone knows that everyone does stuff," while clarifying that although she doesn't personally know people who consume drugs, she has witnessed it herself.

When asked about the substances she had seen being used, she said, “Cocaine, MDMA.”

Further in the interview, Narayani spoke about her personal experience and revealed how she had tried illegal drugs herself years ago. She said, "I have done everything in my life but I have done it as an experiment, to see what happens when you do something."
She further revealed that she had tried illegal drugs in the past only out of curiosity and to know what the experience was like and clarified that she did not develop an addiction.

On being asked if actors consume drugs on the sets, the actress said, “all the time". She claimed, “Our shoots have been cancelled because the actor is not in a condition to shoot. We would wait for 4 hours wondering what was even happening? The actor would not be in a condition to even stand up. It used to happen a lot."
