New Delhi, Read: Taking a step towards making the examination system more transparent and credible, the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Friday terminated the services of 47 officers. According to sources in the Education Ministry, this action has been taken as part of the comprehensive reform process in the agency.

He said that this action will not be limited to termination of service only. Legal and criminal action will also be initiated against some officials. This step has been taken to ensure accountability in the examination system and to strictly control irregularities.

It is being told that this campaign of reforms in NTA will continue in the future and many more important decisions can be taken at the administrative and structural level in the coming time. Its objective is to make the examination conduct more transparent, secure and fair.

It is noteworthy that the youth have been agitating for the past few days regarding the NEET question paper leak and examination controversies and are demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in this matter.

Recruitment process for senior posts in NTA and appointment of 16 young professionals started

A senior official said, “There are preparations to make comprehensive changes in NTA and many corrective steps will be taken in future also. At least 47 officials have been dismissed and legal and criminal action will be initiated against some of them. The process of action against top officials has started due to the anger of students over the question paper leak and irregularities in CBSE’s digital assessment.

NTA has issued advertisements for a batch of professional appointments at the General Manager level and has separately initiated the process of appointment of 16 young professionals through the ‘Pratibha Setu Portal’ of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

NTA said on Friday that advertisements have been issued for four posts of General Manager level, while for the first time an initiative has been taken to connect young professionals through the Pratibha Setu portal of the Union Public Service Commission. This step was taken by Prof. Of. This is part of institutional restructuring in line with the recommendations of the High Level Expert Committee headed by Radhakrishnan. He said all four general manager posts would be on an initial contract of three years. These include Assessment Research and Psychometrics, Test Center Network and Operations, Information Security (Chief Information Security Officer) and Vigilance, Investigation and Forensics. These officers will be entrusted with important responsibilities like scientific development of the examination system, operation of examination centers across the country, cyber security, data protection, digital forensics and investigation of irregularities in the examination.

With this, for the first time, NTA will appoint 16 young professionals through UPSC’s Pratibha Setu portal. Of these, 12 posts will be for academic research, two for legal research and two for finance and accounting. Their appointment will be for initial 24 months, which can be extended up to 36 months based on performance. NTA has said that in the coming weeks, the process of recruitment and panel formation will be started in other functional areas as per the recommendations of the expert committee.
