Do this essential task first

If you plan to book tickets via the IRCTC website or the Rail Connect app, follow these important tips:

First, log in to your account.
Then, create a ‘Master List’ under the ‘My Profile’ section.
Creating this list means you won’t have to re-enter essential details—such as name, age, and gender—while booking the ticket.
This saves a significant amount of time and increases your chances of securing a ticket.

Do this while booking the ticket

If you are booking tickets online, keep this in mind:
Select the “Book Only if Confirmed Berth is Allotted” option during the booking process.
Additionally, enable the “Auto Upgradation” option.
This allows your ticket to be automatically upgraded if a seat becomes available in a higher class.

Indian Railways operates special trains for festivals like Raksha Bandhan, Chhath, Diwali, Holi, and Ganesh Utsav.
Book your ticket as soon as information about these special trains becomes available.
