Fresh twist over Rashford
Rashford’s future at United has taken an unexpected turn after he was asked to be part of Amazon’s behind-the-scenes documentary on the club’s 2026-27 campaign, according to The Mirror. The England international returned to Old Trafford after Barcelona decided not to make his loan move permanent. A summer departure had looked likely, but United are yet to find a buyer prepared to match both their valuation and Rashford’s wages.
Documentary raises new questions
The report states that Rashford has been invited to take part in the season-long production, which has intensified speculation that he may still have a future at the club. His inclusion in the documentary does not mean he will definitely stay. Even so, it would be unusual for United to give a player major access if the club were entirely convinced that he had no future at Old Trafford.
Return remains possible
Rashford has not played a competitive game for the Red Devils since December 2024, and his relationship with the club was reportedly difficult even before his loan spell. However, he is set to return for pre-season after England’s World Cup campaign. The Guardian had earlier reported that he was expected to start the new season as part of Michael Carrick’s squad unless a suitable transfer chance came up.
