Ways to avoid diseases in rainy season

Monsoon Health Tips: The pleasant rainy season also brings with it the risk of many diseases, because during this time, bacteria, viruses and fungus spread rapidly due to increase in humidity in the air. Apart from this, due to accumulation of water at many places, the number of mosquitoes increases, due to which there is a fear of spreading dangerous diseases like dengue, malaria and chikungunya. In view of this problem, the Ministry of AYUSH has shared some important and easy health tips on social media so that people can protect themselves from these monsoon diseases.

change wet clothes immediately

Getting wet in the rain may seem fun, but staying in wet clothes for too long can cause fungal and bacterial infections. This causes itching, rashes or ringworm on the skin. Therefore, take bath immediately after getting wet and wear clean and dry clothes.

Do not allow water to accumulate around

Along with keeping yourself clean, cleanliness around the house is also very important. Do not allow water to accumulate in places like pots, coolers, old buckets or tyres. Stagnant water becomes a home for mosquitoes, which spread diseases like dengue, malaria and chikungunya.

wash hands and feet with soap

Throughout the day we touch many things where bacteria are present. Eating anything or touching the face without washing hands can cause infection to reach inside the body. According to the Ministry of AYUSH, hands and feet should be washed thoroughly with soap before eating food and after coming from outside.
