In the year 2025, 645 million people in the world were victims of hunger, while in 2024, 8.1 percent people would be suffering and in 2022, 8.6 percent people would be suffering from it.

In India, 24.39 crore people were victims of malnutrition in the year 2004-2006, which will reduce to 14.25 crore by 2023-2025. Despite global progress, the pace of improvement in hunger is not uniform in different regions of the world. According to the report, for the first time Africa has become the continent with the highest number of people facing hunger. In the year 2025, about 309 million people in Africa were facing severe hunger. At the same time, Asia is in second place where 292 million people are directly facing this terrible and big crisis.
