Arsenal are reportedly exploring a surprise move for Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior.
The Brazillian player’s contract situation has been attracting growing interest as negotiations over a new deal remain unresolved.
The Gunners are said to be monitoring Vinicius’ future at the Santiago Bernabéu following the FIFA World Cup, with preliminary discussions reportedly taking place.
Vini scored 22 goals across all competitions for Real Madrid in 2025-26. The club finished a second consecutive season empty-handed.
While Real Madrid are keen to avoid losing the 26-year-old for free in the future, Arsenal are also continuing to assess other attacking options, including Atlético Madrid striker Julián Álvarez.
The reports have left football fans in chaos. One user wrote on X “Arsenal thinks with one premier league title in 26 years, they can compete. I’ll run naked if Vinicius Junior signs for Arsenal.”
The 26-year-old joined Madrid in 2018 from Flamengo and has made 375 total appearances.
He played for Brazil in all five of their World Cup games before eventually losing to Noway in Round of 16.
