Lucknow. Now a new SIT will investigate the donation theft case in Ram temple of Ayodhya. Yogi Adityanath government of UP has appointed the new SIT to be headed by IG Kiran S. Has given to. Apart from them, DIG Ayodhya Somen Verma and Ayodhya SSP Gaurav Grover have also been kept in the SIT. Earlier, the SIT formed under the leadership of Lucknow Division Commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant was investigating the theft of Ram Temple donations. Neel Ratan Kumar, Special Secretary in the Finance Department of UP Government, was also in this SIT.
The old SIT had given its interim report on the theft of Ram Mandir donations to the UP government. The tenure of SIT was extended for 15 days. After which he had to give the final report. So this question will arise in your mind that why the work of investigation of Ram Mandir donation theft has now been given to the new SIT? The reason for this is the instructions of the Supreme Court. A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court for an impartial investigation into the theft of Ram Temple donations. While hearing the same petition, the bench headed by CJI Surya Kant had directed the UP government to appoint senior IPS officers in the SIT. The Supreme Court had said that this is a case of theft. For this reason, investigation should be conducted under the leadership of IPS.

Earlier, after the interim report of the SIT led by Lucknow Division Commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant, taking immediate action, the Ram Mandir Trust had lodged an FIR in Ayodhya. After which the police arrested 8 accused. At the same time, after the interim report came, Champat Rai and member Anil Mishra had to resign from the post of General Secretary of Ram Mandir Trust. The old SIT had pointed fingers at the lapse on the part of Anil Mishra and not fully implementing the SOP in the Ram Mandir donation theft case. At the same time, Champat Rai had said in his statement to the SIT that he was not aware of the SOP that Anil Mishra made to the bank for counting donations and offerings.
