New Delhi: Based on the complaint of a student, the police has arrested a constable. It is alleged that he called the student to his government residence and allegedly raped her. After the matter came to light, the police registered a case under relevant sections and started investigation.

According to the police, the victim alleged in the complaint that the accused constable called her to the government residence and allegedly raped her there. After receiving the complaint, the police immediately registered a case.
Accused constable arrested
Based on preliminary investigation and available evidence, the accused constable has been arrested. He is being interrogated and investigation into all aspects of the case is ongoing.
Medical examination and evidence is being collected
Police have conducted medical examination of the victim. Also, forensic evidence, CCTV footage, mobile phone, call records and other digital evidence are being examined from the spot.

Investigating officers say that the matter is being investigated impartially. After completion of the investigation, further legal action will be taken based on the available evidence.
