Music composer Daboo Malik , father of singer Armaan Malik , has shared a heartfelt message about friendships and relationships. Through a social media post, he encouraged people to recognise the difference between genuine emotional connections and relationships that exist only for personal gain.

Sharing a candid photograph of himself on Instagram, Daboo began his note by asking people to carefully examine the nature of their friendships and personal relationships. He warned that some relationships survive only when one person continues to give emotional, financial or constant personal support.

He wrote, "Sunday Morning Life Lessons. Watch out if your friendship and relationships are turned into a business deal. Watch out When Friends and your relationships survive only if you give Emotional support. Constant attention. Financial investment. But when it's time for peace, loyalty, or real partnership?." According to Daboo, meaningful relationships should not depend solely on what one person continues to contribute. Instead, they should be built on mutual understanding and shared commitment.

Daboo Malik on real friendship

The composer went on to explain that relationships driven by money or personal benefits are unlikely to last. He said affection that depends on financial support cannot be considered genuine friendship. In his post, he wrote, "They disappear. Watch Out A relationship built on money instead of meaning always collapses. When the money stops, the affection fades. When you stop paying, all stop caring. That's not friendship or relationship. That's a transaction. Don't invest in relationships who only show up for the benefits."

Protect your peace, says Daboo Malik

Daboo also encouraged his followers not to feel obligated to spend money or make endless sacrifices to maintain relationships. He stressed that emotional well-being should always remain a priority. He wrote, "Invest in those who bring peace, respect, and real effort to build with you Stop letting anyone guilt-trip you into thinking relationship is measured by how much you spend. It's not your job to finance relationships just because you care. Your job is to protect your peace and invest in relationships who values you for whatever you are. Now look around and evaluate all around you and think. Sorry for the typos."
