New Delhi: A private hospital in Panipat, Haryana has been accused of serious medical negligence. Let us tell you, the woman injured in the road accident was admitted to the hospital for the treatment of leg fracture, but she died during treatment. The family alleges that instead of operating on the leg, the doctors inserted a stent in the woman’s heart without her permission. The deceased has been identified as Guddi Devi, a resident of Ramesh Nagar. Her son Kuldeep told that his mother’s leg was fractured during a bike accident on July 24 in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. After first aid, he was admitted to Park Hospital located on GT Road, Panipat. The family says that because the woman had an Ayushman card, the hospital immediately admitted her and started treatment.
According to family members, instead of operating on the leg, doctors inserted a stent in the heart. He alleges that no permission of the family was taken for this process. Not only this, the medical staff also allegedly forged signatures on the documents to recruitment.
Hospital people threatened
Kuldeep says that when he asked questions about this to the hospital administration, he did not get a satisfactory answer. He alleged that when he protested, the hospital staff threatened him and told him to do whatever he wanted, it would not have any impact on the hospital. After the incident, the family lodged a complaint with Sector-29 police station.
Police registered the case
On the basis of the complaint, the police have registered a case against the concerned doctors under sections 106, 318(4) and 351(2) of the Indian Justice Code (BNS). Police say that postmortem of the body is being conducted and all aspects including medical records will be investigated. Further legal action will be taken based on the investigation report. At the same time, the hospital administration has not yet given a detailed response on the matter. Hospital Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Neha said that an official statement in this regard will be given only after seeing the copy of the FIR. At present the police is busy investigating the matter.
