The month of Sawan is going to start soon. According to Drik Panchang, the month of Sawan is going to start from 30th July in the year 2026.

This month of Sawan will last till the full moon of Sawan month on 28th August. Sawan is especially a month of devotion to Lord Shiva. By performing Jalabhishek and Rudrabhishek in this month, Lord Shiva gets pleased quickly and fulfills all the wishes. Special rules have also been mentioned for serving Laddu Gopal in the month of Sawan. The month of Saavan is rainy. Worship of Laddu Gopal in Sawan

In the month of Sawan, bathe Laddu Gopal every morning and worship him. Bathing them with Ganga water, raw milk, curd, ghee, honey and sugar (Panchamrit) is considered very auspicious. There is humidity in the monsoon season, hence add some sandalwood or rose perfume in the bath water of Laddu Gopal. Dress Laddu Gopal in green clothes in Sawan. At this time, make them wear only cotton and light clothes.

Laddu Gopal's offering

While worshiping Laddu Gopal, definitely include Tulsi Dal in the offering. Do not pluck basil leaves on Monday or Ekadashi of Sawan. Pluck the leaves a day in advance. During the season of Sawan, offer butter-mishri, fresh milk sweets and malpuas along with mangoes and blackberries to Laddu Gopal. Immediately after offering Bhog, remove it from there and distribute it as Prasad.

Due to humidity in monsoon, dirt gets accumulated quickly. In this month, keep in mind that Laddu Gopal's throne, clothes and utensils should be cleaned regularly. At night, make Laddu Gopal sleep by changing his clothes, singing a lullaby or with a calm mind. Don't make too much noise in their room. Keep the environment where they are sleeping calm.
