Redmi 17 4G Leaked Specs— Smartphone manufacturer Redmi is preparing to launch its new budget smartphone Redmi 17 4G in the market. Even before the official launch, almost all the key specifications of this device including battery and processor have become public through the European Union (EU) EPREL database listing and fresh leaks.

The phone will be equipped with MediaTek Processor, not Snapdragon

There were speculations in the initial certification reports that Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 chipset will be provided in this handset. However, the new leaked report has put an end to these rumours. Redmi 17 4G has MediaTek Helio G91-Ultra processor based on 12nm architecture. The same chipset is also likely to be used in the upcoming POCO C95 Pro 4G.

The front of the device has a 6.9-inch HD+ flat display (1600 × 720 pixels), which supports 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i to protect it from cracks and scratches. This screen works at a typical 675 nits and high brightness range of 825 nits. The display also includes TÜV Rhineland low-blue-light and flicker-free certification.

The main USP of the phone is its massive 7500mAh battery, which is supported by 45W wired fast charging to provide fast power. This can prove to be a useful option for budget users looking for long battery backup and using the phone throughout the day.

Talking about camera setup, a 50MP primary camera and a secondary depth sensor are provided on its rear panel. There is an 8MP selfie camera in the front. Both cameras can record video at 1080p@30fps. For security, the device has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and Xiaomi’s new HyperOS operating system. It is expected to come in Red, Green, Black and Purple color options.
