India Summons Ukrainian Envoy Over Attack On Vessel That Killed Indian National

India on Monday summoned Ukraine's Ambassador to India, Oleksandr Polishchuk, to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) following the attack on the commercial vessel MV OMORFI, in which an Indian national was killed.
During the meeting, the MEA conveyed its deep concern over the incident and strongly condemned attacks on commercial shipping, saying such actions threaten the safety of maritime navigation, freedom of navigation, and international trade.
India also asked the Ukrainian envoy to convey New Delhi's strong concerns to the Ukrainian authorities, stressing that attacks on commercial vessels that endanger innocent civilian seafarers are unacceptable and must not be repeated.
