DASTKAR drew inspiration from French tapestries, vintage wallpapers, and geometric line-and-dot patterns, translated through silks, velvets, and traditional textiles paired with detailed hand embroidery and sculpted silhouettes. The showcase carried forward Bal’s signature design vocabulary, known for recurring motifs like the lotus, peacock, rose, and chinar leaf, alongside references to Kashmir, Mughal gardens, and miniature paintings. The collection marked one of the notable highlights of this year’s Hyundai India Couture Week, presented posthumously in continuation of the late designer’s design legacy.
